In the world of events, we've found there are few things more satisfying than producing a once-in-a-lifetime experience from scratch. When awarded the challenge of doing just that for 250 VIP banking clients who had 'seen it all', creating a customized experience at the singularly iconic Library of Congress on Capitol Hill was a natural fit.
However, hours before the event, a national security threat flushed months of meticulous planning down the drain. Our entire team and vendor partners were placed on high alert, and access points on Capitol Hill came to a necessary stop. Our experienced crew got to work on contingency plans, while our leadership communicated with the client, walking them through feasible options
Within minutes of the event being cancelled, Capitol Police gave us the 'all clear'. With not a moment to lose, it was all hands were on deck! We had 75 minutes to create a VIP reception and sit down event. Everyone was deployed into workgroups to ensure every detail was covered, entertainers were prepped, catering was ready, and decor. lighting and sound where flawless. Our client was ecstatic, and as guests arrived to the welcome of a Fife and Drum, our entire 'crew' felt a collective moment of relief and joy!
